Setting the Maintenance/Inspection Cycles for the Scanner [Maintenance and Inspection Cycle] [fi-8190/fi-8290/fi-8170/fi-8270]

Specify the maintenance and inspection cycle for the scanner that is performed by a service engineer.

If the specified period has passed after the last maintenance and inspection date, Icon flashes on the LCD.

[maintenance] also flashes on the second line in the [Ready] screen.

Check the information and ask a service engineer to perform regular maintenance and inspection for the scanner.

For regular maintenance and inspection on the scanner by a service engineer, contact the distributor/dealer where you purchased this product. Refer to the contact information in the Contact List if supplied with this product, or refer to the contact information in the Contact for Inquiries section if provided in Safety Precautions supplied with this product, and then make an inquiry.

  1. Start up the Software Operation Panel.
  2. From the list on the left, select [Device Setting 2] [Maintenance and Inspection Cycle].
  3. Select [Enable] to receive a message on the LCD when it gets closer to the time for maintenance.

    The factory default setting is [Disable].

  4. Select the cycle to receive a message.

    The factory default setting is "12 months".
