DirectScan Error
If a DirectScan error occurs, the [Error] screen on the touch screen displays one of the following error codes and the corresponding details and solution.

Take the following measures.
Check the message displayed in the [Error] screen, and take measures accordingly.
To check the network settings for the scanner, press the [Set] button.
To check the destination and job settings for DirectScan, refer to the following.

When an error occurs during scanning (or file transfer), an incomplete version of the file may be saved to the save destination. In that case, the name of the file being transferred will be displayed on the error screen. Check the file and take the appropriate actions.
For M4:B2
Check the settings on the DNS servers.

For M5:D4
The error may occur when a save destination that does not exist has been specified for [Save Destination Path].
The error may occur when another scanner tries to save a file with the same name to the save destination at the same time. In that case, wait a while then try the scan again.
Turn the scanner off then back on.
