• Are the document pad and the document bed clean?

• Have you adjusted the brightness or threshold?

• Are you using a thin translucent document?

In the scanner driver, adjust the brightness or threshold.

Are you using a thin translucent document?

Solution

Scan the document with a white sheet placed on the back of the document.
