Paper Jams/Pick Errors Occur Frequently
- Check the following points

Are the pick rollers, separator roller, and brake roller installed correctly?
Are the pick rollers, separator roller, and brake roller clean?
Are the pick rollers, separator roller, and brake roller worn out?
Did you adjust the paper separation force on the touch screen?
Did you scan long page documents with [Moire Reduction (Advanced)] enabled?

Do the documents meet the paper requirements?

Use documents that meet the requirements.

Is there any foreign matter in the ADF?
- Solution
Clean the ADF.
Remove any foreign matter from the ADF.

Is there a document remaining in the ADF?
- Solution
Remove the document from the ADF.

Are the pick rollers, separator roller, and brake roller installed correctly?

Check the counters for the pick rollers, separator roller, and brake roller with one of the following methods.
The [Replacement of the Pick Roller] screen on the touch screen (displayed when the time for replacement is approaching)
The screen can be displayed in the following procedure:

Decrease the paper separation force if it is set high.

Did you scan long page documents with [Moire Reduction (Advanced)] enabled?

The scanner may fail to completely scan documents up to the maximum length due to the resolution settings in the scanner driver.

Did you scan long page documents while [Low-speed Feed Mode], [ECO Mode] or with [Manual Single Mode using Straight Scan] is enabled?

The scanner may fail to completely scan documents up to the maximum length due to the resolution settings in the scanner driver.
Documents with the following paper lengths can be scanned:
When the resolution is set at 50 to 200 dpi
4064 mm (160 in.)
When the resolution is set at 201 to 400 dpi
2700 mm (106.3 in.)
