*1: | If you use a ballpoint pen to pull out the side guide adjuster and then attach the ADF paper chute (feeder) to the scanner, documents with a width of up to 240 mm (9.4 in.) can be fed. For details, refer to Scanning Documents That Are 220 mm to 240 mm in Width. |
*2: | Long page scanning supports documents with a length up to 6,096 mm (240 in.) when the resolution is set to 200 dpi or lower. Note that the resolution must be set to the following dpi value depending on the document size.
*3: | For fi-8190/fi-8290/fi-8170/fi-8270, a passport with a thickness of up to 7 mm can be scanned without the Booklet Carrier Sheet. For fi-8150/fi-8250/fi-8150U/fi-8250U, use the Booklet Carrier Sheet to scan a passport. When using the Booklet Carrier Sheet, a document thickness that includes the Booklet Carrier Sheet must be up to 7 mm. |
*4: | Note that this is the hardware limitation, and the software's processing time such as data transfer time is added to the actual time of scanning. The scanning speed is the same when the scanner is connected via a USB or via a wired LAN. The system environment used for measuring scan speed is as follows:
*5: | The scanning speed of fi-8190 when the imprinter is installed is 80 ppm (simplex)/160 ipm (duplex). |
*6: | The capacity varies depending on the paper weight. For details, refer to Documents for Scanning. |
*7: | Use the USB cable that is supplied. When connecting the USB cable to a USB hub, make sure you connect it to a USB hub that is connected to the USB port of a computer. Connection with USB 3.2 Gen 1x1 (USB 3.0)/USB 2.0 requires the USB port and the hub to support USB 3.2 Gen 1x1 (USB 3.0)/USB 2.0. Also note that the scanning speed slows down when USB 1.1 is used. If you connect the USB cable to the scanner, connect the USB cable with the USB logo on the head of the cable facing upwards. |
