Output Folder Path

Set save destinations (folders on the network) to which scanned images will be saved when using DirectScan.

Up to 25 save destinations can be added.

The added save destinations are listed.

Click [Output Folder Path] under [DirectScan] to display the window.

[Register] button

Click this button to add a save destination. The [Register Save Destination] window appears.

[Edit] button

Click this button to change settings of the save destination. The [Edit Save Destination] window appears.

[Remove] button

Click this button to delete the save destination.

Display Name

Set a name for the save destination.

Enter a display name within 48 characters.

You cannot set the same name as a display name that is already registered.

The space before or after the character string is ignored.

HINT

If the display name contains characters that cannot be displayed on the touch screen of the scanner (such as environment-dependent characters), the name may not display correctly on the screen.

Make sure that the entered display name displays correctly on the touch screen.

Destination Setting

Set the type of the save destination.

  • Network Directory

    This is the factory default setting.

    When [Network Directory] is selected, specify the following items:

    • Host Name/IP address

      The host name, FQDN, or IP address can be set for this item.

      The space before or after the character string is ignored.

      ATTENTION
      • Note that an IPv6 address is not supported.

      • Supported versions of SMB range from SMB 2.0 to SMB 3.0.2.

      • Saving images to a server where data access is encrypted in the share settings or a folder where a DFS is used is not supported.

      HINT

      When entering a host name, the DNS servers need to be set on the scanner.

    • Save Destination Path

      The spaces before and after the character string and "/" prefix are ignored.

      "Yen Mark" will be replaced with "/". When the first character is "Yen Mark", the character will be replaced with "/" and the leading "/" will be deleted.

      HINT

      If the save destination path contains characters that cannot be displayed on the touch screen of the scanner (such as environment-dependent characters), the path may not display correctly on the screen.

    • Username

      Set the user name used to connect to the save destination.

      You can also set the name in the "UserName@Domain" or "DomainYen MarkUserName" format.

      To use the Active Directory domain user name as a user name for authentication, specify the Active Directory domain name as the user name only or the domain name to be included in the user name. To authenticate a user as a local user, specify the device name as the domain name to be included in the user name.

    • Password

      When [Enable] is set to ON, enter the password for the user name used for connecting to the save destination.

  • FTP

    When [FTP] is set, specify the following items:

    • Host Name/IP address

      The host name, FQDN, or IP address can be set for this item.

      The space before or after the character string is ignored.

      ATTENTION

      Note that an IPv6 address is not supported.

    • Port Number

      The factory default setting is "21".

    • Connect Mode

      Set the connect mode used to connect to the FTP server.

      • Active Mode

      • Passive Mode

        This is the factory default setting.

      "Yen Mark" will be replaced with "/". When the first character is "Yen Mark", the character will be replaced with "/" and the leading "/" will be deleted.

    When [FTPS] is selected, specify the following items:

    • Host Name/IP address

      The host name, FQDN, or IP address can be set for this item.

      The space before or after the character string is ignored.

      ATTENTION

      Note that an IPv6 address is not supported.

    • Encryption

      Set the encryption method for communications used when connecting to the FTPS server.

      • Explicit Encryption (Explicit Mode)

        This is the factory default setting.

      • Implicit Encryption (Implicit Mode)

    • Validate server certificates

      Set whether to validate server certificates using CA certificates registered on the scanner.

      For details about CA certificates, refer to CA Certificates.

      The check box is cleared for the factory default setting.

    • Port Number

      Depending on the setting for [Encryption], the initial value changes as follows:

      • When [Encryption] is [Explicit Encryption (Explicit Mode)], the initial value is "21".

      • When [Encryption] is [Implicit Encryption (Implicit Mode)], the initial value is "990".

      The factory default setting is "21".

    • Save Destination Path

      The spaces before and after the character string and "/" prefix are ignored.

      "Yen Mark" will be replaced with "/". When the first character is "Yen Mark", the character will be replaced with "/" and the leading "/" will be deleted.

    • Authentication Method

      Set the authentication method.

      When [Public Key Algorithm] is [Disabled], specify [Password authentication].

      When [Public Key Algorithm] is other than [Disabled], select one of the following:

      • Password authentication

        This is the factory default setting.

      • Public Key Authentication

        The public key algorithm used when the encryption key is generated is displayed in [Public Key Algorithm].

        This setting can be configured when an encryption key has already been generated for the scanner.

    • Username

      Set the user name used to connect to the save destination.

      You can also set the name in the "UserName@Domain" or "DomainYen MarkUserName" format.

      The space before or after the character string is ignored.

    • Password

      This setting can be configured when [Password authentication] is selected for [Authentication Method].

      When [Enable] is set to ON, enter the password for the user name used for connecting to the save destination.

Applies the configured settings.
