Notes When Exporting the Scanner Settings

The scanner settings can be applied to other scanners by exporting the settings and using [Import the Scanner Setting Information] in fi Series Network Settings.

This section explains how to export the scanner settings as a template from a scanner, to apply the settings on other scanners.

The following shows the items of the scanner settings and the exporting procedure.

Items of the Scanner Settings

The scanner settings include the following:

  • Information on scanner settings set in the [Scanner Settings] settings on the touch screen

    Note that the following settings cannot be exported:

    • [Prioritize the touch screen settings] (when selecting [Paper Source/Feeding], [Paper Source], then[Paper protection])

    • [Prioritize the touch screen settings] (when selecting [Paper Source/Feeding], [Paper Source], then [Stapled Documents Detection])

    • [Consumable counters] for [Cleaning & Maintenance]

  • Information on scanner settings set in [Stacker Positioning] of [Paper Source/Feeding] on the touch panel

  • Information on scanner settings set in fi Series Network Settings

    Note that the following settings cannot be exported:

    • Scanner name

    • IP address (IPv4) and IP address (IPv6) in the network settings

  • Backup of Software Operation Panel

  • Overlap patterns memorized by the intelligent multifeed detection function

Exporting Procedure

Export the scanner settings in the following procedure:

  1. Configure the scanner settings on the touch screen or in fi Series Network Settings.
  2. Export the scanner settings in [Export the Scanner Setting Information] in fi Series Network Settings.
