Failure in Switching Paper Output Slot

If switching paper output slots fails, the operator panel displays the following error code and the corresponding details and solution.

J0:36	Failed to switch from Straight Scan The document was scanned with Straight Scan. Slide the paper output selection switch up or down again and try scanning. If the problem still persists, refer to the Operator's Guide of your scanner model. Code J0:36
J0:38	Failed to switch from U-turn Scan The document was scanned with U-turn Scan. Slide the paper output selection switch up or down again and try scanning. If the problem still persists, refer to the Operator's Guide of your scanner model. Code J0:38

Check the position of the paper output selection switch and perform the scan again.
