Background Switching Mechanism Error

If a background switching mechanism error occurs in the ADF, the operator panel displays one of the following error codes and the corresponding details and solution.

Error Code	Error Details and the Solution
F4:C2	Background switching mechanism error (ADF Front) If the problem persists after turning the power back on, inform your service provider of the error code. Code F4:C2
F4:C3	Background switching mechanism error (ADF Back) If the problem persists after turning the power back on, inform your service provider of the error code. Code F4:C3

If the problem persists after turning the power back on, inform your service provider of the error code.

Open the ADF to check that there are no documents remaining, and then turn the scanner off then back on.
