ADF Open

If you open the ADF during a scan, the following is displayed on the operator panel.

  • For the LCD

    An error code, error details, and a solution for the problem are displayed on the LCD.

  • For the Function Number Display

    An alphabetical character and a number for the error code are displayed alternately on the Function Number Display.

  • If you open the ADF while the scanner is in standby, the following is displayed on the operator panel.

    • For fi-8190/fi-8290/fi-8170/fi-8270

      Only an error message appears on the LCD without an error code

    • For fi-8150/fi-8250

      "c" which is displayed on the Function Number Display and the LED indicator flashes alternately.

  • Note that operations on the operator panel are disabled while the ADF is open.

Remove the document from the ADF, and close the ADF.

Confirm that the ADF is closed properly.

To check whether or not it is closed completely, open the ADF and then close it again.
