How to Turn the Power OFF

Normally, when the following cables are connected, the scanner is turned on/off in sync with the computer's power.

  • Connect the USB cable to a USB port on the computer.

  • Connect the power cable to the AC outlet or the USB bus power cable to a USB port on the computer

When the computer is turned off, the scanner is turned off and the power LED goes out.

ATTENTION

For a computer that supplies power to USB devices after it is shut down, the scanner may not be able to turn off with the computer when the computer is shut down.

If the scanner is not turned off when the computer is turned off, turn off the scanner by performing one of the following:

  • Remove the AC cable from the AC adapter.

  • Remove the power cable from the power connector of the scanner or unplug the power cable from the AC outlet.

  • Remove the USB bus power cable from the power connector of the scanner or remove the USB bus power cable from the USB port of the computer.

The scanner can be turned off also by performing one of the following:

  • When the computer is turned on, press the [Power] button for 2 seconds or more.

  • Remove the USB bus power cable from the power connector of the scanner or remove the USB bus power cable from the USB port of the computer.
